About The Traditional Solo
The Traditional Solo immerses audiences in the richness and depth of India’s classical dance and music traditions. Unproduced, highly interactive, and playfully improvisatory, the solo invites audiences to enjoy North Indian classical dance and music in its original and full form. Often performed in intimate spaces such as small theaters, museums, and private homes, the traditional solo allows the audience to have a direct and personal experience with the form. The traditional solo is an ideal way for connoisseurs and lovers of world music and dance to engage with kathak dance and North Indian classical music.
