Grounded in the pedagogy of legendary kathak master, Pt. Chitresh Das, Leela’s approach to kathak education creates a rich learning environment for students of all ages and backgrounds. Leela’s Children & Youth Program provides students ages 5-17 with access to educational programs that foster creativity, provide cultural education and pre-professional training in kathak dance. Leela’s Adult Program offers world-class professional training for aspiring dancers as well as community classes and workshops for dance enthusiasts and inquisitives of all backgrounds and levels. At Leela, students and dancers have the opportunity to study under the guidance of torch-bearing disciples of Pt. Das along with acclaimed Hindustani classical music and dance faculty from around the world.
